Typically one of the largest in New Mexico, the 102nd annual Bean Day Parade begins at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, September 3rd. The parade participants line up starting at 8:00 am, in front of the Wagon Mound Public School on Park Avenue (Highway 120) and then head toward main street (Railroad Avenue).
This parade is unique in that it goes up
Railroad Avenue then turns around and comes back down so both sides can be viewed.
During an election year, the parade draws politicians from all over the state.
2012 parade theme: New Mexico Centennial.
102nd Bean Day Grand Marshalls: The 2012 (Class B/1-A) Wagon Mound High School Boys Basketball State Champs.
